Wedding Celebrant & Legal Solemniser

Relaxed, heartfelt ceremonies that tell your story!

At Echoes of Life, I create wedding ceremonies that feel relaxed and personal, celebrating your relationship with real heart, connection and joy. I’m a registered solemniser of marriages offering personalised wedding ceremonies across Louth, Meath, Dublin and beyond. I’m authorised to conduct legal wedding ceremonies anywhere in Ireland, seven days a week.

After that, the important part begins. Creating a ceremony together that reflects you as a couple, whether you’re planning a big wedding, a quiet elopement or a vow renewal. Together, we’ll create a ceremony that reflects your story and stays with you long after the day itself.
Your story matters. Let’s celebrate it.

What to Expect When We Work Together

We usually begin with a relaxed consultation so we can get a feel for each other and chat about your plans for your ceremony. Once you decide I’m the right celebrant for you, your date is secured and the creative part begins.

Together we explore your story, the moments that matter and the atmosphere you want for your day. I then craft a personalised ceremony and conduct your legal marriage in Ireland, with space for family or friends to be involved and any enhancements you’d like to include.

A ceremony that feels unmistakably like you. Thoughtful, joyful and shared with the people who matter most. If you’re planning your wedding and wondering if we might be the right fit, you’re very welcome to get in touch for a relaxed chat, sarah@echoesoflife.ie.

As we create your ceremony together, I’ll support you with:

• A fully personalised ceremony written just for you
• A registered solemniser who can legally marry you in the Republic of Ireland
• Guidance and support if you’d like to write your own vows
• Help choosing readings, music or symbolic enhancements
• Space for family and friends to be involved if that feels right for you
• Advice through the legal paperwork and process
• A warm, relaxed presence on the day so you can simply enjoy the moment

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you legally marry us in Ireland?
Yes. I am a registered solemniser of marriages in the Republic of Ireland, which means I can legally conduct your wedding ceremony once you have completed the required legal process with the HSE.

What is the legal process for getting married in Ireland?
Couples must give at least three months notice to the HSE and attend a meeting with the registrar before their wedding. Once this is complete you will receive your Marriage Registration Form, which is the legal document signed during your ceremony. I do not manage the legal process but I’m always happy to answer general questions. You can find full information about the legal requirements on the HSE website.

Do we have to write our own vows?
Not at all. There are legal vows that must be included, these are simple declarations required for the marriage to be legally recognised. Many couples choose to add their own personal vows as well, but this is completely optional. If you would like to include personal vows I can guide you with ideas and examples.

Can we include family or friends in the ceremony?
Absolutely. Many couples like to involve family or close friends through readings, music or small meaningful moments during the ceremony. We can shape this together so it feels natural and comfortable for everyone involved.

Can we include symbolic rituals or enhancements?
Yes. Some couples like to include a symbolic element within their ceremony. This might be a Celtic handfasting, candle ceremony, sand ceremony or a ring warming where guests briefly hold the rings before the vows. If this is something you’d like to explore we can find a way to include it in a way that feels genuine and meaningful to you.

Where do you travel for weddings?
I officiate weddings across Louth, Meath, Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow and throughout Ireland. If you are planning a ceremony further afield we can simply chat about the details.

How far in advance should we book?
Many couples book their celebrant 12 to 18 months in advance, particularly for summer weddings. If your wedding is sooner than that do get in touch as I may have availability.

How do we get started?
The first step is a relaxed chat so we can get a feel for each other and talk about your plans for your ceremony. If it feels like the right fit we can secure your date and begin creating your ceremony together.

It’s been over a month since we renewed our vows, yet we’re still on a high after the most amazing weekend with the most wonderful people. We felt so lucky to have our beautiful friend and celebrant, Sarah Gardiner, there to make it perfect. From the moment we asked Sarah to be our celebrant, she was incredible. She wrote our love story, organised poems and speeches, added so many thoughtful touches and most importantly helped us feel completely relaxed on the day. Her warmth, professionalism and patience shone through at every step and we were honoured to have her guide us through such a special moment. If you’re looking for a celebrant for a wedding or vow renewal that truly reflects your personal style and story, Sarah is the one! She gave us the ceremony of our dreams, and we will be forever grateful!
